We're delighted to be running special summer services to the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales for Summer 2017, on behalf of Moorsbus and DalesBus
The Fountains Flyer leaves Easingwold at 0830, and York Station at 0855 and 1200 every Sunday & Bank Holiday from 30th April until 24th September. It calls first at Aldborough Roman Site near Boroughbridge, then runs on through Skelton on Ure, where you can alight for Newby Hall. The bus then continues through the historic city of Ripon, before dropping you off at Fountains Abbey. Full timetable available for the 822 here.
Service 822 also offers Sunday & Bank Holiday opportunites for residents of Ripon, Boroughbridge and Green Hammerton to visit York, offering almost 4 hours in the city, as well as to enable train connections at York.
If you want to continue further into the Dales, Nidderdale Rambler bus 825 will pick you up at Fountains Abbey (Dales Rover tickets allow travel on both the 822, 825 and the wider DalesBus network), and take you onwards each week to Brimham Rocks and Pateley Bridge, before continuing either to Upper Nidderdale or Grassington. Please check timetable carefully here to see which timetable operates on the day you wish to travel!
Moorsbus Service M6 leaves Malton every day at 0835, running through Pickering & Rosedale to Danby Moors Centre. The bus then offers several trips through the day linking Pickering with Rosedale Abbey and also Thornton le Dale & Dalby Forest! Timetables are available here.
These services form part of the wider Moorsbus network, with buses also linking Teesside to Rievaulx, Helmsley and Sutton Bank and also Danby, Hutton le Hole and Pickering, and also buses linking Easingwold, Thirsk and Northallerton into the Helmsley.
