A Transport-mad seven-year-old has had a coach named after him.
Dylan Jennison is a pupil at Forest of Galtres Primary School, in Shipton-by-Beningbrough, and as his seventh birthday approached his family contacted the bus operator and coach firm Stephensons of Easingwold, to tell them of Dylan's love of coaches - particularly the ones that take him to and from school.
As a treat for Dylan's birthday, staff at Stephensons invited him to spend some time at their depot at Tholthorpe, where he learned all about how the company works and had the opportunity to look at all the buses and coaches, see where they are serviced and where they are fuelled and cleaned every day.
Company spokesman David Stephenson said "Dylan was treated to a ride out on his own in a bus and finished the day by receiving his very own corporate uniform to take home with him.
"At this time we were due to take delivery of a brand new all British-built coach from the Plaxton factory in Scarborough and, as we have given some coaches their very own name on previous occasions, thought it would be a great opportunity to name this coach Dylan."
The coach now has the name emblazoned on the front corner and the seven-year-old can look forward to seeing his very own vehicle on a regular basis when it visits his school as the school bus for him and his classmates.
