First Aid For All! Stephenson's Staff are now Approved First Aiders!
During the recent half-term holiday, fifty members of Stephenson's staff from all areas of the Company successfully completed an Approved First Aider course. The course was designed to equip employees with the basic lifesaving skills that they may find useful in the event of being present at the scene of an emergency. 
Typical scenarios that were covered included dealing with unconscious casualties, stroke and heart attack victims and people who may be choking, amongst many other possible occurrences. The course lasted a full day for each candidate and everyone came away with some new skills after what was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative day.
Stephenson's Managing Director, David Stephenson, said "We feel that First Aid is an important skill for any person to have, and we are very proud of the enthusiasm demonstrated by all participants during the course. We hope of course that none of our staff ever need to call upon their new skills, but at the same time feel reassured that they are all now much better equipped to deal with an emergency should the situation arise".
First Aid forms part of Stephenson's significant ongoing training programme and will be repeated at regular intervals in the future.
